The challenge
Two years of automatic washes had left the black clear coat webbed with swirls, and dealership “protection” had long since failed. Under our inspection lights the paint looked grey rather than black — every defect scattering light away from the true colour.
Work performed
Full decontamination with iron remover and clay, paint-depth mapping across 24 panels, then a two-stage correction: heavy cutting on the worst panels, fine refining everywhere. Panel wipe, 5-year ceramic coating IR-cured in the bay, plus coated wheels, glass and trim.
The result
Measured 92% defect removal. The coupe now reads as liquid black in direct sun, water sheets off in seconds, and the owner reports washing takes half the time. Registered for annual inspection washes under warranty.
